SCULPTING
Sasami's clothes are beautifully sculpted. I love the folds and curves in her pyjamas! Her chest and neck are also very smooth, as are her legs. The smaller details are a bit lacking, such as her fingers and hair. They aren't bad, but I wouldn't say they are above average. Especially her bangs and the curls of her hair, where there is little effort put into sculpting the loose strands or blending where the curls were attached. If you flip Sasami upside-down, you can see a panty shot as per usual with PVC figures. You can also see some very poorly sculpted frills from the bottom of her skirt! From under the skirt, these frills are not detailed and have low quality cuts, but normally you only see the outside, which looks pretty good. I wouldn't consider something that's usually out of sight to be a flaw, so it's nothing to worry about. Overall, the sculpting on this figure is pretty good (aside from the smaller details I mentioned).
PAINTING
I'd consider the painting to be average. The skin is the best part with faded blush to give the character life. The clothes have faded darkening in folds and curves to emphasise the shadows. The hair has a little similar darkening, but I'm a bit disappointed about the lack of highlights. There is no darkening on the white or purple parts of the clothing. Sasami has purple nail polish, but I feel that it's too bright and doesn't blend in well. Sasami's two interchangeable faces are accurate, but similar to the nail polish, the lipstick is too bright and stands out too much. The detail that bugs me the most on this figure is that the eyes do not appear to be ink. They are shiny, as if they are stickers. There is also an error on my particular figure, where the paint from the middle of Sasami's pyjama top touches over the pink. I'm not sure if this is a common error, but it's something to note.
PRICE
According to My Figure Collection, this Sasami figure was originally released for ¥9400. The price is definitely too high for the quality you get in this figure.
OPINIONS & COMMENTS
This figure is not awful, but I wouldn't call it great either. The only thing it settles as for me is good. Unfortunately, there aren't many Sasami Tsukuyomi figures out there in 1/8 scale. There is the yukata version made by FREEing (which isn't out yet), and the 1/10 scale Beach Queens version made by Wave, but what if you want her in her signature pyjamas from the anime? Sadly, Griffon Enterprises is the only way to go for that. On the other hand, if you're a Nendoroid fan, there is a Nendoroid of Sasami Tsukuyomi in her pyjamas which is pretty good quality. But again, that entirely depends on if you're okay with displaying your Sasami in such a chibi style.
UPDATE: Apparently the figure was unhappy with my review, because when I went to change her face, a piece of her dress snapped off. I guess it's not very sturdy, either.
