Sleepy Impressions: Re-Kan!
Hi! This is a new type of content that I will try to keep up with! Sleepy Impressions are my (Sleepy Otaku's) first impressions of a new anime series! I won't keep posting about my impressions of the anime as it keeps airing, but I may end up reviewing it in more detail later on!
Anyway, today I will be writing about Re-Kan!. This is a brand new anime that just started streaming on Crunchyroll. It's about a female transfer student named Hibiki Amami who can see the supernatural, and her school life as she tries to blend in with her classmates.
While most of her class gets along with her fine, Narumi Inoue is determined to believe that the ghosts Hibiki claims to interact with are not really there, although she tends to fumble with asserting that belief.
The first episode was full of gags, with not much focus on story. It's definitely a comedy, but there's not a lot else to this show... I didn't find it to be particularly interesting or funny, although there was a little bit of character development in the episode. The only two characters that have unique personalities so far are Hibiki and Narumi, unless you count a random perverted cat.
Overall, I'd say this anime is a low interest of mine. Its greatest aspect is the animation quality.
